We really love this hike. There are so many options and it is very secluded. It is long if you do the entire loop so beware ud83eudd23
This is an okay hike if your main intention is to just get out and exercise with your family. However, naturalists will be disappointed because this trail has the worst invasive species problem I have ever seen in a natural area. The native flora is sparse because it’s been completely smothered by invasives.nnMy main interest in hiking is nature photography, but there’s just not much to see here. I left with fewer than 150 photos when a hike of similar length usually produces 600+ photos. The only bright spot was a small patch of milkweed in a power line ROW which was buzzing with insect activity, in stark contrast with the rest of the landscape.
A great hiking trail whether you complete it or do sections. No mountain bikes makes it more personal
Easy and fun hike. If you go right from the overlook you will have some muddy areas after a recent rain. So if it rained go left up the ridge
Good workout while not overly exerting yourself.
