I stayed at Beach's Bottom for two nights for a weekend away with 4 friends from DC. Though the place is a bit out of the way (gravel road for about 7 miles, but well packed), the amenities and location of the place itself more than make up for it. Though we did not take advantage of it, we liked that we could have explored the river on canoes. The deck view over the Shenandoah river is gorgeous and we loved hanging out there. The place is spacious and all 5 of us were easily accommodated.
Spent a snowy weekend at this cute cabin. It had everything my family needed for a nice relaxing weekend. Beautiful views of the river from the two story windows. The owners did a great job making our stay nice and easy. I hope to come back in the spring/summer and enjoy all the activities in the river!
We stayed at Beaches Bottom for my mother’s 60th birthday. We wanted a quiet, peaceful location with easy river access. This property was perfect. We arrived Friday afternoon and I walked into the kitchen to start cooking dinner. I wasn’t sure what I’d find, but I found a fully stocked kitchen with every pot, pan, knife, etc. that I could ever want. I’m a cook so I’m hard to please when it comes to kitchens but this was great. We had dinner on the large outdoor deck, we saw several deer and bunnies. The river was the perfect background soundtrack. When the sun went down we went to the screened in porch. There were great fans so we were kept nice and cool. The beds were super comfortable, and the home had many ammenities. Saturday morning was spent drinking coffee on the back deck and Saturday afternoon was spent fishing/reading by the river. Saturday night we made great use of the fire pit (there are two!) and had s’mores. I was deeply saddened to leave Sunday, I could have easily spent another week there.
Beautiful place great views some wildlife riverfront its a great place to visit
