Delicious, made from scratch food! Finally tried the mozzarella bites, which were perfectly fried with a delectable blend of sweet and spicy. The large pork chop had a delightful sweetness from the pomegranate barbecue sauce, served on a generously portioned bed of creamy bacon succotash. So yummy! Topped off with a unique dessert special - chocolate stout cake, which was quite rich! Great service from Shannon!

Staff were kind and professional. Atmosphere was top notch. However, if you intend to get food, I would recommend sticking to the burgers for your main course. Some of the menu items simply do not warrant their high prices given their mediocre taste and portion sizes. For example, their milkshake was essentially a strawberry smoothie with some whipped cream added on top, which did not fill even half its container. The food is not bad by any means (and points certainly just for being innovative), but there’s more bang for your buck elsewhere.

I enjoyed a lovely dinner with friends last night at The Maroon Door. We had an excellent waiter who was friendly, courteous, and attentive. He knew well the menu and explained several dishes to us. Me and one of my friends both enjoyed the butter seared New York strip steak. It was very tasty and perfectly cooked. I might suggest just a little bit better trimming around the edges. The vegetables and potatoes that accompany it were quite good. Additionally all three of us in our party began with some lovely side salad which were quite good. My other friend enjoyed a toasted cheese which is their version of a very gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. We also enjoyed some desserts and they were all quite delicious as well. While this restaurant is slightly above my normal budget range, I was grateful to have some friends who treated me last night. I hope they will find a clientele who can keep this lovely brewery/restaurant in business in Blacksburg. It is well done and a good replacement for this long vacant building space. I will be certainly letting my friends know to come and check out this great place that serves not just wonderful entrees, but also great burgers and lovely appetizers and small dishes.

Ate outside on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Service was excellent and the burgers were simply awesome. Three of us in our party, all got a different burger, and everyone was happy. Next time we are back in VA tech, we'll be visiting here again!

Great new place for us. Wirth a 40+ minute drive. Unique options that aren't like every other restaurant around. Fantastic service. Very accommodating for our gluten-free family members! Highly recommended!
