This is a nice little park that we visited a few years ago. We were able to do the Virginia Canopy Tours zipline, but that might be closed now. We only spent the day to do the zip and hike to Wildcat Ledge. We parked in the Right River Campground parking lot, which has restrooms right there. The first part of the trail through the campsites is very easy and can be followed by anyone. The Wildcat Ledge Trail was definitely not easy and is a lot more rugged. I swear some of it seemed straight up and down. However, the view from the top was totally worth it. Fortunately, they have benches along the way for those of us who need to take breaks. I recommend the hike to the top only for those who are in good shape with strong mobility.

This is a great place. Visited and did some fishing with my wife. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms. You can tell the staff at this park really care. I was walking to the visitors center and couldn't help but notice the gentleman that was painstakingly cleaning and making the small stream in front look like it was going to be featured in a magazine. All of our wonderful state parks are great to visit but this one has a bit of perfection running thru it!

Great campground. Huge sites. Quiet. Dog friendly. Hikes all around. River. Small visitor center but nice. W/E only, clean, large bathrooms and showers. Only bad thing is ticks, but no fault of state park. They are everywhere in VA and other eastern states.
