Peter's Mill Run is a lot of fun for the first time off-roaders. Stock Jeeps and most 4x4 and some non 4x4 vehicles as long as you have a locking rear can make the entire trail. It is a lot of fun with awesome surrounding mom and pop restaurants to get some good eats after the trail.

Easy to get trail permits for $5, trails are both directions and well marked. Lots of parking at Taskers Gap, minimal parking at Peters Mill. Diverse trail, easier from Peters Mill, about 1-2 miles in from Taskers Gap there is a lot of rocks, steep incline after the nice dirt jumps.nnSeveral slow Jeeps and trucks clogging up the trail for motorcrossers, SxS, and ATVs on a holiday weekend, but great etiquette and all pulled to the side to let others pass. Pack in and out, minimal cell service throughout.

Took a stock Subaru crosstrek for the first time and it was great. Bottomed out a few times toward the end but great experience.

Decent campgrounds. They had tables and most already had a clothes line tied up in the trees. Didn't see a bathroom. There is access to the OHV trail from the campground. Make sure you buy the permit first if you ride.

The peters mill side is super easy. No obstacles on the trail. A little rocky is a few spots. We didn’t even use 4WD for most of the trail. Shocked it’s a jeep BOH trail because of how easy it is. It would be great for first time off roaders just wanting a taste of off roading. We did it in a 3rd Gen Taco.
