The actual lofts are cute, they are on the smaller side but not bad. This is not getting 5 stars due to the inconsiderate neighbors and that management has no follow through on enforcing their own rules about quiet hours or cleaning up pet waste. As a tenant you can call to complain (none of my emails go through) but the most they will do is send an email blast out, without any actual results.nnIts ridiculous that rude neighbors can play obnoxious music late at night without being fined.

These lofts are beautiful! I have a one bedroom and it's very spacious! My favorite thing about it is the original chalkboards all around the apartment from when this building was a school. I feel very safe here, you need a code to get into the building and each apartment locks with a deadbolt. It's very quiet and I seldom hear any neighbors.nnThe only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because my ceiling leaked a couple of times. Since I'm on the top floor and this is an old building, I'm not very surprised. But it took maintenance longer than promised to come check it out the first time and then when it happened again there was no evidence that anyone had come to check it out, but it hasn't happened since (although there haven't been any more hard rains).nnJust a little info: If you have a washer and dryer in the bedroom, though they work well, when the dryer goes it gets pretty hot and damp in the room. I just plan my laundry around when I don't need to be in the room. Also while the windows are beautiful, in the summer it gets really hot in the apartment if you leave the shades up.nnOverall this is a great place to live. Very spacious, lots of storage, lots of parking, great price...etc.

The lofts are nice but not for the price. There are more affordable lofts and apartments in colonial heights. Also, they do not work well with military personal and honoring orders. I let the apartments know in advance that I was on orders though I did not have a hard copy yet and when my family and I wanted to move out they still charged us for the last month of our lease regardless if I had hard orders in hand at that time. Maintenance is never around and does not respond to repairs in a timely manner.

When I was first shown these apartments over the summer I was giving a very good song and dance. But after a few months I have noticed that the leasing agency does a very poor job of fixing any problems that you have here at the Lofts. One example is the recent snowstorm, the doors were frozen shut and in the event of an emergency we would not have been able to get out of the building. Today is Sunday the sun is out the storm stopped as of last night and according to the notes that they put up in our elevator and that is how we are notified is by notes we are still unable to get out of the building to clean off our cars. The parking lot has not been scraped nor have the sidewalks. Their idea of cleaning off the sidewalks is putting a big bucket with sandwich bags full of rock salt next to the door. There is no excuse for that considering the money we pay for living here, I can promise you there are other places who would take better care of you for the money that you spend to live here, I hate saying bad things however, this is getting very ridiculous. Plume Street leasing is one of the worst leasing agencies you could ever have and I have dealt with numerous leasing agencies throughout the Commonwealth. The Lofts are in fire code violation according to state law and they are going to be inspected this week and numerous residents have videoed the problems. Furthermore, when filling out an application you go through a criminal background history check along with a credit check. It is very ridiculous to come home at night and have the smell of marijuana hit you as soon as you walk through the doors. When suggesting that we have a problem, to the leasing agency their response is to call the police. I am very much a pet lover however, to also come home and find that animals who are staying here have regurgitated their food in the hallway and also relieve themselves and defecated in the hallway is very much a problem. Even if you tell the leasing agency who it is nothing is done about it and they fail to follow through with honoring your lease. I cannot recommend this place for new residents until all of these problems are addressed.

Used to be Hopewell High, that's why that football field is still there, no?
