Fork Union Animal Clinic has been my go-to vet for the last two years and will remain our vet so long as we live in the area. Their level of care, empathy, and love for animals is amazing. When I was nervously flying with my dog to Portugal, they did everything they could to make the appointment, paperwork preparation, and expectation-setting for the USDA as seamless as possible. When they discovered a heart murmur in my dog, their empathy, detailed explanations, and succinct recommendations for the next steps were very appreciated. And their everyday, standard care is incredible too. I live on a farm nearby, and all the domestic animals on the farm are seen by Fork Union veterinarians—for good reason. I think the world of the staff and my veterinarian at Fork Union Animal Clinic. Their kindness and patience with their patients, who are not always on their “best behavior” when going to the vet, is amazing. They are thorough, gentle, and good listeners. They communicate their findings, recommendations, treatment alternatives and costs clearly. They don’t hesitate to refer clients if specialized diagnostics or treatments are needed. They always follow up with a call to see how your pet is doing the next day. They’re wholehearted in their concern and care for their clients. I wouldn’t take my pets anywhere else.

Decided to change my vet since my louie was having such a hard time with our other vet. They were very understanding and patient with him. She was able to do a ear swab and give a shot without sedation. Very please.

Honestly the best vet clinic you can go to. I’ve been going there for 10 years and even after moving a hour away I still take my animals there! Love the whole staff and how well they take care of their clients !

We love this place and always see Dr. Philman. Worth the drive even if you aren't in fork union. They are always helpful and friendly and I feel like they love our cat as much as we do.
