There's plenty of parking, but it is a couple hundred feet down a path to the launch. It's a little uneven with some roots sticking up, but I was able to roll my kayak with it's cart without too much trouble. The water is clean and clear enough for this area. The current was quite strong so I wasn't able to get very far upstream, and didn't dare go downstream too far. The beavers have a dam and lodge built near the landing, and it's worth crossing over to look around, but the weeds close in before you get too far in this area. It was a nice visit and worth seeing.

Plenty of parking at this easy access to confluence of streams in the chickahominy swamp. You can launch canoe here, but river is too snagged to be navigable this far West.
