Lampo has done a great job with their takeout, making it easy to pickup, and the pizza was great after reheating in the oven. The salads were excellent as usual. I do miss the roasted escarole appetizer, and so here's hoping for in person visits before too long!

I’m a tough critic and I absolutely loved Lampo. It might just be the best pizza in Charlottesville. It’s as Neapolitan as you can get within 2 hours drive, and their sides/salads are diverting and interesting. You know you stumbled onto something good when Google Chrome asks you if you want to translate their website from Italian to English ud83dude05 . MUST try the maple hazelnut roasted squash side - also some of the best squash I’ve ever had, and I’m a squashy guy. I’m not sure if this is seasonal but I had it in February. The portions are a bit small, I do think it’s possible for a normal adult to finish one pizza alone; this is not a criticism, just information for you, the person reading this review.nnI rarely like going one place twice but I will be back without a doubt!

Very tasty pizza and appetizers. Very popular spot. Order early on weekends. We tried to put an order around 5:30 on a Friday and the prepare time is 2.5 hrs. A little disappointed with the portion size, especially for the appetizers. Otherwise would give a 5 star.

I've probably rated these fine folks in the past, but after enjoying the greatest eggplant parm sandwich, maybe ever, this evening, I had to send them another 5 stars. Unreal. Perfectly smoky. Sauce was heaven.
