Couldn't find the main entrance, only the staff entrance. No one answered the phone to give directions or to take the takeout order - google hours said they were open for lunch. Was looking forward to trying the place but never got the opportunity.

The food was delicious! I got the chicken pot pie. They are currently only serving takeout but it's worth it for their delicious foods.

Not at all pleased with the experience we had this past weekend. I get that times are super tough right now, but it’s poorly mismanaged. My friends and I waited in line for the front patio for nearly an hour, only to be told that we couldn’t be seated. We were completely ignored by the host (who was running the front all by himself during a busy weekend, don’t see how that’s fair) and tried asking him several times what the seating situation was like, but he wouldn’t look our way. Finally after a table opened up, he said he couldn’t seat 5 people. We could’ve easily squished to one table, given how small the meals were. Ridiculous. We were then escorted to “The Lot” where we had to wait even longer to be seated—by this point we were hangry! After getting to a table 15 minutes later, we find out that there isn’t even a waiter to serve us, we have to place our orders online. That was a hassle as the directions weren’t too clear and we didn’t know anything about the food we were ordering. The food wasn’t even that great. I understand and appreciate that they’re following social distancing rules, but I’ve been to quite a few restaurants with outdoor seating, and we’ve always had a waiter. Overall it was a frustrating experience, and the next time I’m in Charlottesville, I won’t be coming back here.

An absolute pleasure to dine here! I love it when a restaurant gets creative with their menu offerings. The Bizou has an exceptional menu and everything we tried was better than expected! Will go back when I'm in Charlottesville and will tell others about this exceptional restaurant.
