We had a party of 11 dine out at The Fitzroy last weekend and had a wonderful experience. Many of us were timid to eat out with the pandemic but Rich, one of the co-owners, was so accommodating! He was timely in email correspondence and very understanding of our requests to be outside and socially distanced! When we arrived, he greeted us personally and went so far as giving us recommendations for the weekend (all from out of town). The service and food were excellent! We felt very safe the entire time and had a lovely evening. Thanks Rich and staff for giving us a great taste of Charlottesville!!

Fantastic food, drinks, and service!! Cocktails with house-made ginger beer are particularly delightful!! Several COVID-19 safety measures are in place to create a safe yet inviting atmosphere!

Went to lunch today at the Fitzroy. It was one of our first dining experiences since COVID. Honestly, I couldn’t have been more impressed. While they have a limited menu, it was well rounded and the food was amazing. The staff was wonderful at social distancing and genuinely seemed happy to be there. They were helpful and very considerate. I’ve always loved this place but my experience today makes me want to be a regular patron. Thank you for providing a much needed break that not only was relaxing but also enjoyable despite the circumstances. If you’re looking for a great place with no fuss, safe, and great food this is for you.

Good place for quality american food. Great place to meet and catch up with friends. Service is typically good.
