It’s interesting to see a one star review left around the same time that my husband and I went to this restaurant (last weekend). We had an absolutely amazing experience for our first visit. We ordered the fried calamari appetizer which was cooked to perfection with a delicious aioli. For entrees, my husband ordered the trout with cheese grits, and I had the buttermilk chicken with collard greens and mac. Both dishes were tender and superb. We ended our visit with the hazelnut cheesecake, also delicious and unique. I’m not sure what went wrong with the other couple’s visit since it seems we ordered similar items, but we will absolutely be returning and highly recommend to all! Really neat atmosphere and “cabin-like” feel in the upstairs dining.

My husband and I went here last night. We were told this place had amazing food. We ordered the Fried Calamari, it was cold and soggy. Then we ordered Grilled Beef Tenderloin med with Roasted Garlic Potato Croquette and Asparagus. The beef was med/rare and luke warm, the potato was fried and the asparagus was cold. My husband ordered Short Ribs which came out warm. Then we ordered Hazelnut Cheesecake and coffee. The coffee came out cold and the cheesecake you couldn't tell what flavor it was. We will not be going back. Very disappointed.

Not a great Valentine’s Day spot, because once the food comes, you won’t talk to that special someone. :) The food was sooooo good! Very reasonable prices. Really enjoyed the short ribs, potatoes, and carrots.

We were VERY disappointed in the food at the Local. Our meal was very expensive and the food was very poor. Two filets ordered medium rare were well done and the potatoes that came with it were stone cold. Refrigerator cold. We have been trying to support local restaurants but we won’t be heading back to the Loval. Ever.

Made a mistake bye creating Open Table reservations at a different restaurant and showed up at The Local. Sarah was very kind and made nothing of it and seated us promptly. Every element of our dinner was exceptional. Christian was an excellent server, the appetizer was very large and the entrees we're Simply Delicious. The macaroni and cheese could be cooked a little less but that's my only minor Improvement. I highly recommend this restaurant because every bit of your dining experience will be exceptional. Thank you.
