Nina Nails

Love Nina’s Nails. Been coming here for about 5 years. My gel nails always look great and last for about 2 weeks or more depending on my chores around the house and If nails are submerged in water for long periods of time.nNever make an appointment always walk-in and get service fairly quicklynThe salon is super clean and the nail specialists are always professional.nGive it a try, you’re going to be very satisfied.

I just found my new place, thank you Tammy! She was super nice, as was everyone else. my nails came out perfect & I will be back!

So I’ve come here a few times. And I’ve never truly felt the need to leave a review, but I’m genuinely curious how proud someone can be when they a subpar job.nnI will say when it comes to arcylics they are inconsistent, shaping or buffing is off. And honestly I’ve gotten my nails done so often that I understand everyone has strengths and weaknesses. But today I think it was rushed sloppiness, and possibly annoyance.nnI asked for a pink and white coffin tip. Now granted I forgot to use the word ombré but I’m going out on a limb here that not many people actually get the pink/white nails that were popular for jersey shore. So when I was asked if the pink was the color I wanted (which is in a jar that is labeled dark pink) I said no I was hoping for lighter. She said no. Like excuse me I saw the 10 or so different “powders” you have. I then show her a photo. She goes oh that’s ombré goes and grabs a lighter pink......ok whatever it’s cool.nnBut here we go. So she puts the tips on my nails now the right hand goes on fine (that I was aware) and then the left hand no joke she’s puts most of my nails on at an angle. Now I understand everyone’s fingers can have a slight lean but these were for real like angled. When I asked her to remove them and start readd them she was annoyed. Tried to file one a little before ultimately removing two. I noticed the ring finger wasn’t angled as bad so I honest thought maybe she’s add acrylic and then file it to a better shape. Nope.nnOk acrylic is on and there are some divets already. But hey they have to finish filing and buffing. So then she’s done applying and filing and at first everything looks decent. I know I’m not walking out of here with the nails I want but it’s cool. Nails are never perfect. So she brushes a top coat on them and I’ve noticed how angled my left thumb is and how uneven the nails are. Btw she looks at my nails and looks at me and goes “oh so beautiful” btw three nails already feel like they could break off and it’s been 30 mins with no hard activity to my hands.nnHere’s the thing. I’m not confrontational and I know there will always be something a bit off when you go to salons, I understand that not everyone is an expert and I don’t mind a wait and I tip well. I expect a certain standard to have at least evenly filled and straight nails. I hate to say it, over the past two years this nail salon is inconsistent with my nails but spot on with my pedicures.
