Wailuku Fire Station

The captain and Seth came to rescue me at night from the cold winds and rain as I was trying to walk home from accidentally being left behind at the beach. They were so kind and encouraging and put their jacket on me to keep me warm. I am so grateful!!!

Let me tell you a story about two boys who enjoyed understanding fire and a mother who was psychotically scared of her boys liking fire. Yes, yes. Fire is not something to be played with, blah blah. But, when the boys played with a 9 volt battery and steel wool after they were given a book about fun science experiments, did they deserve to have to go talk to the fire chief at the Wailuku Fire Department? Probably not. I wonder what story the mother told the chief for him to have that talk with the boys.nnI am amazed the chief was patient enough and took time out of his day for this talk. He probably thought the mom was over the top also. Still a cool thing to do. Plus, he ran the siren on the truck for us!
