Kahului Dental: Drs. Baxter, Momberg, & Poole

I went to three dentists on the west side of Maui and was not pleased. Now I drive a half an hour to Kahului Dental and every minute is worth it. The office is cheerful and efficient. The front desk is actually fun. Dr. Baxter is caring and never in a rush. Painless! His assistant , Sierra is a doll. A pleasure to be around. I have never reviewed a dental office before. This office is the best. Give them a try.nAlly

I had an amazing morning with Dr. Baxter and his wonderful staff.nI had a tooth that broke and the last 2 nights of no sleep and pain were just horrible. I called his office and they got me in next day. First thing at 8AM Dr. Baxter was talking to me and giving me all the options and the cost for each of them. He has the kindest bedside manner and makes you feel very special. His staff is just as great as he is. I chose to take the tooth out and after the numbing he pulled the tooth and gave me the instructions for after care. Prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medication for a few days and was already feeling better. 6 hours later and I have minimal pain and the nerve pain is gone. Please give yourself a treat and go see Dr. Baxter. You really will enjoy it. Thanks Doc and staff. I will be back for all the other issues I have. You're the best.

I can see that Kahululi Dental has no lack of awesome reviews but I would also like to share my experience. I'm 42 and cannot possibly imagine anyone being as scared of the dentist as me. I had one super bad painful experience when i was young with a dentist and never went back. I've spent a life time neglecting my teeth and have payed a heavy price for that.nnI decided to finally seek help because for years and years I just grin. I don't smile because I don't have one.. I just grin. I told my girlfriend that I want to smile on our wedding day especially for our pictures. So, as difficult as it may be, I'm determined to get my smile back. There is no other place I could imagine going then Kahului dental! I actually found them because I needed a tooth extraction and was completely amazed by Dr. Baxter! He not only has an excellent positive attitude and made me feel comfortable right away, he took the time to explain the procedures and answered all of my questions. He truly cares for each and every patient as if they were family.nnSince then, I have returned for more x-rays, cleanings and exams and I'm equally struck by his staff, especially Angel. She has been working with me to clean my teeth and all I can say is WOW!  Her name fits perfectly. She not only empathizes with where I'm at pain wise, she is so thoughtful and kind and really takes the time to make me feel relaxed. She can see me in a cold sweat fighting back my nervousness and just talks story to me and makes me laugh. She's also extremely knowledgeable at what she does and can articulate perfectly so I understand the process and what to expect. There's no other person I would want cleaning my teeth.nnI've never seen healthcare like this before. I'd like to say thanks to the reception as well. Just try and call and make an appointment and you'll see just what I mean in seconds. These folks are absolute heroes! They should be an example for any medical/dental office on how to treat their patients. I've got a long way to go but I could never go anywhere else. Thank you so much!

Best Dental Office I have ever been too! I've never left the dentist feeling so happy. They don't want to waste your time or money and are prompt with their services. Dr. Baxter and Tara treated me like family and are genuinely good-hearted people. Honestly, I can't wait to go back!

I am very happy I found Dr Baxter. Him and his staff are very friendly and helpful. I was able to get my teeth cleaned and shortly after I received a root canal the same day. I have past experiences of unsuccessful root canals. He made me feel reassured and comfortable during my rootcanal. He took the time to make sure it was done properly. I will only go to Dr Baxter for all my dental work and refer him.
