Holy Ghost Mission

It was so peaceful and sole soothing as soon as you walked in the door. The smell was old. Not like mildew or mole hard to explain a pleasant old soft smell.

Cute, historic Catholic Church. Nice place to stop and enjoy views of the valley. You can respectfully walk the cemetery grounds and often the church and gift shop are open.

Flew over to Maui for the day for the Holy Ghost Festival. I go to eat and eat we did. Portugese bean soup and roll delicious. Got a smoked meat plate...yum yum. Chili and rice so good. But the best was the chow fun. Should have bought the bigger size. The only bummer was we couldn't get malasadas...all sold out. But the surprise was the grilled corn on the cob with different toppings. We had the Italian and Mexican... amazing. Played a little bingo...good fun. Wish we had more time. Had to catch a flight back to Oahu. Great way to spend a Saturday on Maui.

This is a sweet little Catholic church that is in the shape of an octagon. Masses here are nice. Music is usually acoustic and very good.
