Opened in 1936 as Wailuku Japanese Christian. This Graceful structure became Iao congregational. Soon after the out break of world war 2. The church is shown here during the war. When milarty restrictions dictated that meeting could only be held by day and that withdrawal of church funds were subject to government review. Iao Congregational hired it's first full-time English speaking minster in. 1964 and today host a Diverse, multi-ethnic Congregation.
