Went in for passport renewal and was very impressed with staff and quickness of process. Will never go through the post office again.

Deschutes County Courthouse staff, under Presiding Judge Ashby have improved, but they are still incompetent and by definition, guilty of misfeasance, as they often make inappropriate remarks.nRemember this next time you vote. Ashby is unfit to preside and the ratings on both websites are a testimony to this fact. We as taxpayers deserve better.

The Deschutes County Courthouse staff is incompetent. They have no consistent job duty instructions to rely on and they are unable to perform simple clerical tasks. They are not trained well enough to answer simple clerical process/format questions and simply say “We are not allowed to give legal advice” instead. The recording at the Courthouse claims it’s just as difficult for them as it is for the public. The fact is, they are massively incompetent. This includes the Supervisor as well as the Trial Court Administrator.nThis is an abuse of tax dollars. I am filing a grievance/complaint to the Presiding Judge and to the Supreme Court in Salem.nA year after I filed a complaint, I went to small claims for help and the judge flat out told me he was punishing me for my complaint instead of listening to my issue with a very bad window tint job I received at A Tint of Class in Bend. I wasn’t allowed to present my case and even though I was respectful in Court at all times, just told I would be now receiving punishment for my complaint against incompetence at the Deschutes County Courthouse instead of a reasonable decision on my actual case. This is not moral or professional. Remember this when you vote. The Presiding Judge, judges and staff at Deschutes County Courthouse are not fit to receive taxpayer compensation for what they are doing.

Shirley was one of the most amazing people I have ever encountered in my life. Some of the online systems weren’t working and she went above and beyond to help us. She was joyful, and wonderfully pleasant! 10/10 would county clerk again.
