Lake County Fairgrounds

I rarely write a positive review for an RV camping spot because hordes of people will rush there and I won't be able to get in or they will ruin it. But this underused RV park is special, there is grass all around, the staff are great, the sites are plenty big, the town which is a couple blocks away is a rare bit of small town americana and the setting with the Warner Mtns on one side and the Cascades on the other is simply divine. I've stayed here several times over the years and have extended longer than I intended every time because of the charm and friendly people and beautiful setting. Maybe not on rodeo week though!

Could spring for a new hose at 5 Dollars a pop to Dump. But easy in and out

Went to Chris Janson, great concert, though very short. Rodeo today, Destruction derby tonight. Dry camping on the grounds for only $30, all weekend. Have met some great people over here, so nice to get away!

They've redone the bathrooms in the stadium and they are very nice for fairgrounds. There's grass where the rides are which is really nice - cuts down on the dust and dirt. They have a nice country fair with a good variety of rides and vendors. The exhibit halls are clean and a nice size. Definitely visit the museum while you're there.
