Just called to get info on availability for housing and it was a less than friendly person(Sarah) who answered. When my son asked about housing availability, she curtly responded that there wasn't any and hung up. So much for friendly customer service....

My daughter stayed overnight in Mountain View tower for the duration of youth conference and was rushed out the door the final day, forgetting her scriptures she used for almost 10 years, brand new eyeglasses and a journal in a desk drawer. She immediately realized her mistake and spent weeks on the phone with housing, and a person in charge of MV being told different things, but mostly that the building was closed and she'd have to wait until Aug 14th when MV was open again to retrieve her things from the lost and found. Not satisfied, she persisted in calling and leaving messages for 2 months. No one did anything. No one checked the desk drawer for her, or wrote a note for anyone ever. When she arrived on August 15th, she was told her items had likely been donated to DI 5 days ago. DI wrote a note for us in the back, but her items weren't remembered by anyone and by all appearances weren't donated. My best guess is custodial didn't know what else to do but throw everything away, since it was personalized. Likely long after she had talked to multiple people on the phone, who just couldn't be bothered to step up and care.
