This active church has a great deal of history and is well worth a visit when you are in the Tucson area. Legend has it you can push a board with saint on it to show you are a good person. AND, you'll see folks lined up to push the board. I didn't touch it; I don't want to know. You can learn a great deal about early missions, the Spanish invasion, and the advent of Catholicism in the area by touring around the well-explained grounds of the church. In the dirt parking lot you'll find local vendors and foods from residents of the nearby indigenous reservation. Try the fry bread; you will not regret the calories.

I always love going there the customer service at gift shop are always happy to help you with anything you may be looking for or answer questions. The church is peaceful and beautiful as always.
