Canyon Cabins

This review is for the Bluejay cabin only.nnWe paid a premium price for the Columbus day weekend. My expectations are modest - clean, prepared and comfortable accommodations. My expectations were not met.nnPros: pet friendly.nnCons: We scheduled a late arrival. The pilot light for the wall heater was out. Had to wait for maintenance to arrive. We scheduled for 5 people- there wasn’t any bedding for the pullout couch. Luckily for us 1 person wasn’t able to travel and we had our son sleep with his grandfather. There is mold in the bath tub. The bath water temp is hot or cold only. It’s difficult to find that sweet spot for warm. The cookware is at least 5 years old and unusable- we brought food for the weekend, but had to eat out all meals.nThe provided kitchen utensils and wares are sparse, and were not properly washed by the previous renters or staff.nThe refrigerator needs to be defrosted - it froze the food and drinks we brought.

Clean and good service.

We stayed in Big Bear and had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and the deer plentiful. It was great drinking coffee on the porch and watching the deer. The management are helpful in every way. Would recommend Canyon Cabins to all. It's a nice, clean place to relax in the mountains.

Wanting to come for only 2 nights weekend getaway but have to book for 3 thats not right!!! Just lost Buissness
