Who's on First was a great cabin. It was spacious and could comfortably accommodate 6 people. We visited in August and temps averaged 82/65 and sunny for the most part. We found the cabin very clean, except for a slight off-putting smoky or kind of musty smell I can't really describe it, but nothing a little febreze and nose blindness couldn't cure, it wasn't that big of a deal; it's a real wood burning fireplace cabin, after all. The back patio and dining area offered picturesque pine forest views on all sides! There's a Char-Broil Performance Series 6-burner gas grill out back that knocked out hot dogs and seared up some thick steaks beautifully, a great amenity for our stay. (Thankfully it was left pretty clean and well covered)nnWe found out, unfortunately after unpacking and getting settled in, the cabin doesn’t have air conditioning. TRAVELER TIP: bring portable fans for rooms/areas that don’t have ceiling fans (One for back dining room, one by the high table in main room, and one more if anybody plans to hang out on the couch near the front door in the main room) The main room has a ceiling fan that works great, but only if you’re directly under it; it doesn’t adequately move air throughout the whole room. Maybe if they installed ceiling fans in line with the existing fan? Also, running the oven seriously heats up the immediate areas around the kitchen, but the cookies were sure worth it!nnWe would recommend Who’s on First to anyone looking for a place to stay. We will definitely keep Upper Canyon Lodging Company’s number for future stays; we’re even looking into their larger cabins for upcoming holiday travels with even more family!

The cutest little cabin. It was very quiet and relaxing.

We stayed at Lands end on October 27 - 30. The pictures online made it look so clean. With covid it was important that we find a clean cabin, especially with a little baby. We were so let down when we arrived. It was extremely dirty & the sheets reeked of smelly feet & had white stains on them. There was old potato chips under the beds, dirt everywhere & the restrooms were disgusting! I would have left had we not traveled 5 hours in the snow to get there. Being that its been a stressful time, I decided to make the best of it for my daughters sake. So I just cleaned everything myself. I went to Walmart & bought cleaning supplies.I washed the blankets as well. The roof also had a small leak in the living room. My reason for putting this review is not to bash whispering pines but just to make them aware. Please check your cabins or maybe hire a different cleaning crew.
