About six years ago, at a fair in Denver, I met Mark who created a ring that was not only beautiful, but had so much meaning. He told me he created this piece as a tribute to one generation breathing life into the next. I kept his card with the drawing of the design in my wallet ever since. As my mom and I walked through Santa Fe, she suggested we stop at that artists shop in Albuquerque and see, if by chance, he has that design still. My dad had passed away unexpectedly a few weeks prior. Not only did he have ONE, but it fit my finger. He made the whole experience special, reciting the meaning of the piece and had me say out loud “I’m XXXX XXXXX daughter” as I placed it on my finger. We were all brought to tears. This ring has a new meaning now than it did 6 years ago, but as the whole day went, everything we did and experienced was no coincidence. Soon after, my mom and two sisters ordered the same ring. Needless to say the jewelry is beautiful, thoughtful and unique.
