This is a special place with a fascinating history. If you get lucky with the weather it is a lovely place to watch the sunset. They are a little precious with the prices given that the menu is fairly straightforward fare. The fried things are fried exceptionally well. The area grows pistachios, and they are incorperated into the batter of the chicken fried steak. It is very good. Varying success with the other dishes. The staff is sweet and accomodating and make the experience stand out. Stop by, you will remember it.
Great food and service. Awesome building with an interesting history. Outstanding location in Cloudcroft. Lots of food... we split a plate and it was more than enough for two. Even though it was back from the main street it was worth the diversion.
Outstanding views, service, and good food. The architecture is truly beautiful. It was worth finding this gem.
We went there for lunch today! I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich and fries! It stated that it came with a strawberry sauce but it did not! It came with a very runny compott! When you dipped your sandwich in it it was instantly soggy! I mentioned it to the waitress she said I guess we should change the verbiage! Will not be having this sandwich up there again! Usually don’t have issues there! Very surprised for sure!
Very lovely place to eat. Great service, wonderful food. Looking forward to a full menu after the pandemic but in the mean time a very good selection on the limited menu.
