I received a gift of a knife sharpening class at their pop-up location in the Stanley Marketplace. Chef Elan acted professionally and exercised patience as he taught the basics of prepping the stone, stance, hold, and technique. After having this class, I feel the tools and skills taught gave me a better understanding of how to properly sharpen my home knives the right way.nnAfter the class we were offered a discount on items in the store, however, I did not indulge in their excellent selection of knives, cookbooks, and miscellaneous kitchen items. The vibe is friendly and Chef offers knowledge on his products without the hard sell. I returned at a later date to have a knife tip repaired and Chef Elan fixed my knife in a matter of minutes. Everything one would need to get a knife sharpened is in this location. Highly recommend the sharpening class and to browse the extensive selection of high end Japanese knives. Thanks again!

I happened to stumble upon this knife store despite it not being published on the Stanley market website. I happened to be carrying my pocket knife - what good luck! I was amazed by the quality of the store owner’s sharpening and knife selection - all Japanese manufactured with beautiful steel. I’ll definitely be coming back to invest in some new knives. Hands-down, Element is the best knife sharpening service we’ve ever used! I’ve tried other sharpening services before, and we’ve always been disappointed with the way our knives have turned out. This time around, they slice again like butter - so thrilled! Also, the shop owner Chef Elan is such a kind, helpful guy to work with. We feel great supporting his local business, and finally having our knives restored to ‘like new.’
