I love this place. It is a beer Mecca. They always have a surprisingly diverse cast on their limited number of taps, and their bottle selection is astounding and very well-organized. They even got a bunch of cases of Westvleteren 12 there a while back, which is pretty much impossible to get outside of Belgium. There is limited seating in the bar area, but it's usually not too bad. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and love helping you find just the right beer.
One of the best beer selections in San Francisco. I have never been disappointed by any of the curated 12 packs I order from here. Highly recommend.

Even in this day of the bug City Beer does a great job welcoming customers and providing great service. Thanks again for another great visit in strange times. If wanting to eat the City Beer Burger is really deliciously hot and juicy off the grill. I had the tater tots with the burger.
Cool spot to grab some good beers. We came here for the Pliny the Younger release. They handled it incredibly well, and had people in and out easily.nnI'd like to try some of the other beers they have on top -- they all looked so tasty!
