They have changed!!!nCame here to pull permit(3/11/21) today and everything is very organized and efficiently working.nGreat to see all system in place!nThey even texting me updating on how many people in line. Nice see smiles coming from people working here too.nKeep up the good work SF building department!nThank you

Absolutely awful. OTC no plans should be simple. In person is cancelled, need to register with unknown appt manager found by reading small print on a page found by chance.Two day two hour appt window. My permit is ready but can't get it. I have to beat (win a race)toregister in appt window, . No notification of successful registration. The process depends on whete you happen to land on internet. Directions to building also in small print and building is very difficult to find.

They need a customer satisfaction and comment program so the Mayor and City Council knows how horrible and arbitrary over the counter approvals are. Now, I submit my drawings for the formal plan check where their plan check comments are in writing and I don't waste my time going back and forth hearing different comments from plan checkers that plainly don't have the public's interest at heart.
