Fisherman's Wharf is a great place to stroll around in San Francisco. Go see the sea lions at Pier 39. They are adorable. Go watch the boats move in and out of the wharf, or just rock gently while moored. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and stores. I like to get a beer or wine and just sit outside and enjoy the breeze. Transit is nearby and I think it's much wiser to commute rather than find parking.
