I love this place because they sell a selection of house plants, crystals, fish, and aquarium equipment. Unlike other small ma & pa aquarium shops, this one is actually 2 floors, fully stocked with fish, plants, and all your aquascaping needs. They always have an incredibly diverse selection of fish, they restock on aquarium plants often, and every time I’ve been here, there are about 2-3 guys answering questions. You can always get help and what you need from this place. Highly recommend.

Great selection of freshwater and saltwater species. Probably the most abundant in the SF area. Also carries equipment, decor, substrate, etc. Pricing is very reasonable. They also sell aquatic plants.nnOne downside, we purchased some tetras that had ich, which also ended up infecting the rest of our school. Be sure to quarantine well before introducing to tank. Same with shrimp, sometimes catches come in that are not too healthy. There's a trade off for the price. Livestock turnover is so fast here I feel like they don't really carennFun trip to see all the different types of animals though!

This place has some quality issues, but the sheer fact that they offer a large variety of supplies that I can't find at other places make up for that. A lot of their supplies are also fairly priced with hardly to no crazy mark up. They also open late too, all the way to 10pm.nnIf you were to buy any live creatures from there, I recommend checking to make sure they are healthy and know how to properly nurse them back to 100% health if they are not.

The conditions the fish were in are absolutely atrocious! I went for tetras and the black skirt tetras were pale white.. I genuinely thought I was purchasing white skirt tetras for a second. Also purchased a variety of other tetras in hopes of stocking my 55 gallon, bought about 25 or so tetras. On the way back from the store 2 died, and within the next 2 days 9 more have died and looks like they are infected with ick and pale. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

Being an avid fish keeper my boyfriend and I travel around exploring aquarium stores regularly. We have never seen such poor treatment of fish. Over crowded, ammonia burns, peaceful fish with aggressives. They fish looked so stressed out and the tanks are so small it made me want to cry. They had a mud fish that was so cramped in the tank he couldn’t move or swim. I don’t know how to go about shutting this place down or demanding more ethical treatment. The irony is there is a store on the same street called “bitter end” and that’s what these poor fish have awaiting.
