There was a lot of wine and other alcoholic beverages, but it was pretty lacking on groceries. I couldn't even find milk or eggs.
The cashier is really friendly but the selection is very limited. For example, the whole store only had one bag of frozen vegetables, only three onions, only five potatoes, only two bags of hot dogs etc. It appears that they mainly sell alcohol and everything else is present in limited supply and more expensive than it would be at another store.
This goes out to all the people in the Lowell School Area. I stopped into the General Market today and was so impressed with the owner Piro Ikonomi . He has done such a great job with the place since the last ownership. The place is spotless and he such a great guy to deal with. His fish is fresh everyday and he has a great supply of wine and beer. He is aways there to greet you with a smile. Anyone else have the same experience ?
