I hired a contractor to remodel my bathroom in June 2018. He agreed to have the project finished in 4 weeks. Needless to say, that did not happen. I was extremely disappointed with his shoddy work and unprofessional behavior: he never showed up when he was supposed to, dragged the project on for months, insisted on more $ than what was originally agreed upon, left the job unfinished, subbed the plumbing work out to a complete incompetent, broke brand new tiles when he dropped his hammer, I could go on and on.nnAfter seeing how upset I was, a friend suggested I file a claim with the contractors board. I was skeptical but she had called the board several months before about an issue she was having with her painter and was pleased with how the board was able to help.nnI eventually filed a claim and am certainly glad I did! I couldn’t be happier with how professionally my situation was handled by the inspector who drove out to meet with me and see the work. He agreed the work was not as it should be and managed to get the contractor and me to sit down together & work out a solution that has left us both relatively satisfied. Considering how I felt about the contractor going into this, that was no small feat. Thank you Contractors Board!
