Main/Buchtel Parking Lot

I did not know this was a private lot. I park here all the time when I come to pay my rent at the adjacent building. With S. Main being closed for repairs I can no longer park at a meter space on the road. I was told I could park in this lot. Never had an issue until today. An elderly gentleman blocked my car with his and very angrily began yelling at me that I couldn’t park here. I looked around and did not see any signs that said this was a private lot. He pointed to a sign on the other side of the lot, about 50 feet up on a telephone pole that said “no trespassing”. Yes because that’s where I’m looking when I’m driving. *thick sarcasm. So I moved my car to the area he pointed to. I got out and he proceeded to yell at me again telling me I wasn’t allowed to park there either and he was going to call the police and have me towed. I told him I’ll be gone in less than 5 minutes and don’t touch my car. My business in the adjacent building was completed in less than 5 minutes but when I came out he had put a huge neon yellow sticker on my drivers side window obstructing my view and it left thick residue behind. This man is a complete jackass. Totally mentally unstable. If I needed to pay a dollar or two to park I would have no problem doing so, but now I’m going to make sure I take someone with me from now on. I was frightened that he was going to hurt me or further damage my car. He was THAT angry that I parked in his lot when I wasn’t supposed to. Total freak.

I love the environment, its so good to sleep in this parking lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAnnnnn

Spaces are s bit tight and it's outdoor parking, but it's cheap or sometimes even free for short term parking. Close to a lot of venues and restaurants

The owner Mark has a real attitude problem.nnHe has a problem treating his female staff like people and is completely inappropriate.
