My mom was in rehab twice and long term care here. The aides and nurses were phenomenal. They treated my mom with respect, dignity and always made her feel comfortable. They treated her like family! When we needed to move her closer to family, they made that transition so easy on us and her. The aides in House 101 were always easy to reach and communicate with any time I needed assistance or help with mom. They truly became her family!

This place is the best place you could ever want your loved one ! My grandma spent 3 years here before passing. I couldn't ask for better care takers to help take care of her. All of the exciting trips she got to take part in. The home cooked meals. The wonderful activities they provided. This place was truly home away from home. She had her own bathroom with a walk in shower as each room does. She was able to help cook and fold laundry as she did at home. The staff loved her as if she was their own grandma. Such a wonderful place! I HIGHLY recommend it if you need to make that decision for a loved one. You won't find a better place!

I worked here for 2 years as an aide and then as a nurse. They took great care of their elders and staff. My grandmother went to rehab here twice in House 102 and was given tremendous care by the staff and the PT/OT! She then moved into House 101 for LTC for approximately 1.5 years prior to moving closer to family. My grandmother loved the staff and other elders. The EAs were her family and still keep in contact with her to this day. The activities were daily and kept her active and making new friends and many memories! My grandma loves Otterbein and it will always have a special place in her heart and in mine. Thank you for all you did for us!

I was employed here for eight months. The management at this facility is a disaster with both employees and patient care. They only care about your money and not your loved ones. They find every reason to terminate stnas that actually care for your loved ones and keep those aides who are there for the money. I'd double or triple think before taking your loved one to this facility.

I brought my aunt to this place and the staff was horrible she put on her call light several times and it was ignored . My aunt asked several times to go to the bathroom they kept on telling her to wait, she couldn’t hold her urine so of course she urinated on herself the aid was upset about that but what do they expect when someone sitting there for hours asked them to go to the bathroom .She also said that There was a few that was nice but there was a few that was really mean. My aunt is a very nice lady and didn’t deserve to be treated the way she was. When we went to pick her up they really couldn’t explain what medication she was on how to give it to her and the times , we was left to figure it out on our own basically. So from my experience I would not recommend this place. I’ve worked in nursing homes I work at a healthcare facility now And I could never imagine treating The elderly Wrong and neglect them. The nurses was also on her cell phone walking right past as she kept on pushing the button 6 to 7 times for help I had to bang on the window just to get them to help her back to her chair. She got one shower and she was there 2 in a half weeks.
