Chakeres Theatres - Melody 49 Drive-In

I had my first drive-in experience here on Halloween. It seemed like a good option with Covid being a concern. The movie selections were great, I never thought I'd see The Thing on the big screen. I felt an overwhelming amount of nostalgia.

Great drive-in theater! They keep the property clean. Most everything is dated, but it’s kept up. Bathrooms were clean and snack bar had everything we needed-good popcorn! Prices are reasonable. Overall, had a great time here with the kids. Family friendly and the crowd was friendly too. They have excellent customer service. We had a very pleasant experience-can’t wait to go back.

While I want to leave a good review I just can't. Drove almost an hour to see a movie with the kids but because they allow people to sit outside their vehicles there is essentially 3 empty rows between the center cars. Ended up having to watch from a 50° angle due to everyone is driving large family vehicles as expected. When your kids movie has twice as many vehicles as as the adult movie it's time to put it on the large screen with the more adequate parking

Very nice place. Grew up coming here as a nice treat a couple times a year, and coming back much later is certainly not a disappointment! Great value to catch a dounle feature, audio comes through clearly and is also broadcast at a lower volume over speakers, in case you're sitting outside your car without a portable radio, and the screens are in a good state of repair, unlike several other (apparently) functioning drive-ins I've seen. Worth the drive!

Went to see some horror movies with a few teenagers who had never been to one. It was fun and enjoyed by allnIf you have a Newer vehicle watching the movie through you vehicles sound system may be hard due to the battery savings mode take an old boombox or radio and use that instead of starting you vehicle every 15 minutes.nEnjoy a evening with your friends and family at your local drive in theater.
