My family just got back from a short vacation up in Watkins Glen NY.nnOur # 1 priority was to spend a day fishing. We found Mark and his company. We had a great time, and caught ( and released ) about 10 fish! Mark was extremely knowledgeable about the region, lakes, and just about everything else. Good guy, great tour, and a lot of fun.
Mark is an expert when it comes to fishing tours. We went on Cayuga lake in early June. He had five lines in the water at different heights as we trolled, eventually catching lake trout and salmon. His awareness of the different lines, boat speed, direction, and importantly, in which places the self-respecting fish likely to be--was a joy to watch. He was quick to teach us as we went, so that we could participate more and more. My 12-year-old son was very satisfied to catch a large lake trout with his guidance. For best experience, I recommend during the week when there are not too many boats out. We had three in our party which was about right. Thank you Mark!
Our 12 yr old son finally got to cash in his Christmas present with a trip out on Cayuga Lake w Captain Mark. Very successful trip ending with an extremely happy young man. Mark was very patient with our son and all his questions. So much fun catching trout for the very first time. Highly recommend Mark and Summit To Stream if you are looking for a fishing charter. Weekday trip was so nice because the lake was quiet.
Booked a fishing charter with Captain Mark and it could not have been better. Mark was very experienced and easygoing. We fished on Cayuga Lake and caught 2 HUGE lake trout amongst other fishes. Mark definitely knows his stuff! We would do another charter with Summit to Stream Adventures in a heartbeat!
I had called this place before coming on vacation to reserve kayaks for my family. The man told us they don’t usually reserve, but for a group our size, if we called the day before, he’d put them aside for us. Once in vacation, when I called the day before, he changed his tune and said “first come first served”. We knew they opened at 10am. We got to their location with a party of 8 at 9:40am on a Tuesday morning to ensure we all got a rental. I told the worker what we wanted to rent. He told me he would pull them all to the water and get us set up. I told him I’d gather the group from the parking lot. He said “ok”. When I returned less than 90 seconds later, the same person had given the majority of the kayaks all away to a group that had walked up after me. There weren’t enough left for us to go out. And all he could say is, “you didn’t sign the waiver fast enough”. He hadn’t even given me a waiver to sign!?!? Our much awaited kayaking trip was almost ruined. Luckily, just around the corner was another rental place that was super friendly and able to help us. I will never recommend anyone to this place and I will actively steer anyone looking away from Summit to Stream adventures. Rude, Unprofessional, and they DO NOT DESERVE THE BUSINESS. This day and age, I’d rather spend my money one good businesses/people.
