I spent three years of my high school years here and I absolutely loved it. The teachers explained the course material perfectly and they all were very understanding. Having experience at another high school taught me that St. Agnes has to be one of the best high schools out there.

Best kept secret in Queens....people are catching on...luckily last daughter almost done, so won't have to worry about not getting in. Learning and caring under the love of Jesus, and caring teachers.

I just graduated from St. Agnes last year, and choosing to go there was the best decision I ever made. I felt at home on only my second day there, and I hadn't even had a full day yet! Because the school is on the small side, it has an intimate and familial feel, and I felt comfortable and at ease. No one is just a face in a crowd; the principal and assistant principal know everyone by name. The teachers get to know the students personally, and are amazing at their jobs. They are always available for help, and I learned so much that I'm using now in college! The guidance department has to be the best in any high school, especially when it comes to the college application process. They detailed everything step-by-step and made the process much less stressful. St. Agnes has so many interesting clubs and sports (I was a member of about 9 in my time there, including the bowling team and newspaper staff), and encourages and provides opportunities for volunteering and giving back to the community, and even has an affiliation with New York Hospital Queens. Plus, there are many opportunities to obtain college credit, with AP classes and college-level classes through the St. John's College Advantage program, as well as a 3-year Science Research program through SUNY Albany. St. Agnes gave me a leg up for college--I graduated with 28 credits and was able to take more advanced classes in my first semester. I was accepted into the prestigious Macaulay Honors Program because of my education here. My four years at St. Agnes were the best of my life. I made amazing friends, was able to succeed academically with the teachings and support of all the faculty and staff, and developed into a strong, confidant, and outgoing young lady. My beloved high school provides an education unlike any other, and nowhere else will you find the feelings of family and support that St. Agnes provides. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely choose St. Agnes.
