Our older daughter is in the first grade here, and our younger daughter is going to start kindergarten in the fall. We love the small class sizes and the personalized learning. Our oldest has been learning Hebrew alongside English for two years now. They are also very strong in math and science and opened a maker space this year. It's a great community to be a part of.

With small classes, teachers can get to know each student and customize their approach to students' interests. Much learning is through experience. Students of all grades interact with each other and are friends, and for this reason, it feels like a big family. The school is warm, welcoming and inclusive. There's a lot of serious learning going on -- students graduate extremely prepared -- yet it doesn't really feel like school for my child. He has so much fun. Laughter is definitely part of the core curriculum.

LGA has done a phenomenal job of teaching and nurturing our first grader. Her classmates are her family and we love all her teachers. She is speaking Hebrew and writing binary code. We couldn't be happier with our experience there and are excited for our younger daughter to start kindergarten there next fall.

This creative, progressive Jewish day school is the opportunity to celebrate community values through a Jewish lens. Students are prepared for middle school with project based learning encompassing the makerspace, reading, the arts, and a stellar math curriculum. As the retired director of an after school Hebrew program, I see this as an ideal way for parents and their children to build a comfortable and connected Jewish identity. I encourage parents to consider Jewish day school in primary grades as a foundation for an enriched life.

LGA has been wonderful for my daughter and our family. Not being religious, we were a bit nervous about a Jewish school, but the entire community was so welcoming and we felt comfortable from the first day. Some of the highlights of the school are: kids getting lots of time outdoors (at recess and on the farm next door); social justice is an integral part of the curriculum; and the arts and music programs are incredible! Lastly, the teachers - they know and care about all of the students in the school; they give students individualized attention; and they use lots of projects and creative activities to help kids learn.
