Giving socially distant tours of the Kingsland Homestead. Our tour guide Jaren was super knowledgeable and couldn't be any nicer. The tour is for a half hour only because of covid rules. I felt like I stepped back in time. You could almost feel the spirits of those that have lived there before. The Weeping Beech trees are just magnificent to see. Quite a treat and only a 5 minute drive.

Programs and community hospitality excellent. Historical records resource for Queens county.

Both the changing exhibits and the house itself are well worth seeing. In addition, Queens Historical Society offers walking tours, in-house film screenings, and seminars on a variety of very informative Queens-related subjects. It’s quite easy to reach by train (#7 line). Worth the trip!

The Queens Historical Society is the best place to learn about the history of European settlement in Queens, New York. The Society is located in the landmark Kingsland Manor, which includes a superb replica of a Victorian parlor. Would highly recommend attending their many talks, tours, and exhibits.
