This was a great place to kayak! It’s on a canal, as the name implies, which is much more interesting than the lake. John is amazing and spent a lot of time explaining to us how to kayak and what we might see from a wildlife perspective. Great experience, thanks John!

Canal Side was super generous and allowed us to put in our canoe using their launch and park on the property even though we weren't staying there...for free! Very friendly on the phone and in person!

Captain John was amazing - my family of 6 just spent the most wonderful afternoon exploring the canals and swimming in the lake. He is wonderful with children and extremely knowledgeable about the area, having grown up here. I can't imagine a better day on the water!!

Relaxing, quiet. Campfires with S'mores in the evening. Be sure to take the boat ride down the canal to the locks. Owner very knowledgable of canal history. Rented the Yert and cottage for a family reunion.
