Elisa's Takeouts

The perfect snack shack! I was in town visiting for the weekend and was lucky enough to stay in a hotel right behind Elisa’s. We got the mac and cheese balls and some chicken wings. It was exactly what we wanted, delicious and warm comfort food. The staff is friendly and carries a welcoming familial attitude which makes this truly a special place. We enjoyed Elisa’s so much we came back the next day for some road snacks for the trip home. Ample outdoor seating makes this somewhere you can relax and enjoy great food and company. We’ll definitely be back!!!

I travel all over the US for work and I love trying Mom and Pop locations especially if they have ice cream. Out of the 100’s of chocolate milkshakes I have tried all over the US this is definitely in the top 5. I also tried a few food items and they must take great pride in serving great food and ice cream. I loved everything I tried. Hope to stop by again sometime soon!

Great service and great food! Its a little place on the side of the road with a huge menu. With such a large menu there are bound to be things they don't specialize in so I wish some of the reviews would have elaborated on what specific item they enjoyed here. I ordered the Mac and cheese bites, buffalo chicken pockets and wings with cheese fries on the side. Didn't get a chance to try the ice cream as my eyes were already larger than my stomach while ordering my dinner. Here is my review of each item:nnThe mac and cheese bites were delicious, made in house and are a must have when going here. Only thing i would mention is i wish it came with some sort of dipping sauce, not needed but the right sauce would make this item even better.nnThe buffalo chicken pockets struck me as a buffalo chicken dip equivalent of the mac and cheese bites and i was not wrong. They are unique and delicious, could of been a little warmer but either way they were excellent. The celery inside of the pocket was a really nice touch.nnI had noticed this place because of the big sign of the front screaming CHICKEN WINGS at me and that is what I was most excited to try. I was actually pretty let down in regards to the wings, but i must admit i have very high expectations. I would not get the wings again as I could not bring myself to finish them, they were a little too moist and had a strange flavor to the chicken. I would instead try something else on this huge menu.nnThe fries were regular old fries, nothing special but they were fried well and the cheese sauce i had was good. I think i might go with the cajun fries next time.nnI find myself in this area for work often and will be stopping back here on my next trip to the area and i recommend everyone else to do the same. The wings were the only reason this review was not 5 stars and hope my honest review will help others navigate this impressive menu!
