This court is a joke!

Court is fine if you are local, but they process a lot of drivers from out-of-state due to proximity of highways going through Albany. For me it was a total nightmare-- everything must be done in person unless you don't need documents in a timely manner... Then you can use snail-mail. Their personnel constantly gave me different answers and the people with seniority who can process more complicated things all leave by 3:30... I needed court documents faxed or emailed to me to clear up a MA suspension (enacted due to reciprocity with New York's suspension) on a time crunch and they would not even mail the documents on request over the phone or fax... You either had to mail a paper request (3 days) and wait for it to come back (another 3 days) OR get a 2.5 hour ride to do it in person. They would not fax me anything. Lastly, they made me show up for court 3 seperate times (unnecessarily-- no action taken when I got there!) after the initial appearance after my incident. No mercy on people who live far away and don't have a license to get there! Can't they do any of the forms by fax or even electronically?

I'm a traffic lawyer and I've been to courts all over. Guilderland has high volume but the staff are good and the judges are great. I have a personal beef with one of the judges but he's still a good judge and was a good prosecutor before.

Had one traffic infraction that lead to now 3 times they've suspended or attempted to suspend me and I have to pay the suspension and fees to even get it lifted and even after court and paying the courts fees they again tried charging me now the third time having this on my abstract and at this point I can say whatever clerks running the show needs to be FIRED classic crooks right there
