Immaculata High School
Reviews

As a former teacher at Immaculata I would highly recommend this school to someone who is looking for a place where their student isn’t going to be a number. After having worked in several public schools prior to my time here and having attended a large area high school, it is very clear here that staff and faculty have a much greater opportunity to personally get to know your child. There are many different clubs and activities for students to participate in and an award winning campus ministry program that provides opportunities for students to serve their local community. The school is also part of a new AP Seminar and Research program that is not being offered at most local schools and that recognition by the College Board is really something to consider when choosing a school as a family. We offer an optional daily mass in addition to the “First Friday Masses” attended by the whole school.nnAfter looking at so many reviews from people who attended 20 years ago I would highly recommend taking those comments with a grain of salt. A LOT changes over time.

The staff here is amazing to start with. We are just starting out in this school but my son has spent half his summer here and I can tell you I have met amazing parents that I have become fast friends with. I'm on a first name basis with much of the staff. My son has a ton of friends. I requested honors classes for my son's strong subjects and help with his weak ones and have gotten unbelievable support. To be fair I can't judge much yet but what I can judge is amazing.

The teachers and faculty sincerely help students to maximize their full potential in preparation for college and the world before them.

I attended this high school back in 89'. I enjoyed it very much until I realized that I had not learned as much as my middle school peers had over at Bound Brook High School. The teachers more driven to teach the students, rather than just spewing facts out at them.

On my first day of school here back in 1999, I was beyond excited to attend and learn new things. I thought everyone would be just like me but I was wrong. I showed up in a full nun suit ready to adapt to my fellow nuns, but I was soon aware that everyone else received uniforms and I was left on my own with a nun suit. Not only that but after having four miserable years here wearing nothing but my nun suit, I thought I would finally be able to be hahead of my peers over at Somerville and Bound Brook High School. Instead they were beyond my level of knowledge and I soon realized that I wasted my moms hards earned money at Dunkin dinuts for a basic education. Total rip off.
