Cheesequake Rest Area

Nice rest area. Many food choices, Starbucks. Service mostly nice and friendly.nClean.Gift shops.

As of right now, starbucks is closed. Burger King and the convenience store are the only store open.

Filthy bathroom. A disgrace at all times but especially now with COVID running rampant. Shameful & disgusting.

I stopped with my family at Cheesequake Rest Area for gas and to buy some water on 09/21/2019. The lines inside the rest area were long in all the stores, and I therefore went to the vending machines lined outside the rest area next to its entrance door. To my surprise, the machine dispensed a Diet Coke when I clearly selected water. I thought it must be a mistake either mine or the machine and didn't give much thought to it. I swipe my card again and selected water for the second time. Believe it or not, the machine dispensed a regular coke. I have both bottles saved and they can be easily traced back to the machine. I finally went back inside the rest area and bought the water from one of the stores. The next day when I checked my credit card statement, it charged me two $3.50, when it is clearly written on the machine that the price is $3.00. I know the money involved is not significant, but it is a fraud nonetheless. The company who owns and operate that machine is fraudulently compelling its customer to drink the beverages that the customers didn't pick and then over charging them.I am planning to call the company who owns and operate the machine, file complain to New Jersey Department of Consumer, the Coke company and the management of that rest stop. I wanted to stop this company from ripping off the people. Has anyone have better ideas or suggestions on how to recover $7.00 dollars I paid and stop this happening to other customer.?
