DABC Utah State Liquor Store #48 Herriman

This is such a beautiful store and I was so happy to have one so close to me. So I was shocked at the experience I had on the phone today with the supposed store manager, John. It was exremely disappointing. 47 of the Utah liquor stores carry Sheffield Cream Sherry, 1500ml. I looked all, this info up on the DABC website. This appears to be the only store that does not carry it. The main warehouse has over 1000 bottles of the stuff so it obviously sells. I called thinking with my input the Herriman store might put it on the shelf. I have lived in six states and this stuff is literally carried everywhere even in states with worse liquor laws than Utah. I was told by John, that this is the way it is. They only carry what they are told to carry. His store does not sell enough of this product to carry it. I said, but you have never carried it so how do you know that it won't sell? Again he said, we just put on the shelf what is on the planogram. There was never an offer to take the info down and pass it along to the DABC, nothing. I don't know if its just this store or if the DABC just doesn't take input from customers or what. He told me I could special order a case and he did not know anything about the special order system and could not answer any of my questions about a problem I had the night before with the special order system. And besides I don't need a case, i just need a couple of bottles. He said " I'm just reading the website to you off this business card" I can't help you with the website. He had absolutely zero customer service skills and was quite rude. Never apologized or thanked me for my patronage at his store. I know I should be happy that at least we have liquor stores in Utah, but if this is the actual store manager, there is a serious with this store. Enough of a problem for me to think twiceabout if I will shop there again. Such a beautiful store...its too bad.

Great liquor store trade employees very friendly staff who can turn down liquor

They are great friendly but don't have some liquor that I wanted ... coffee patron..uncle nearst

Out of all the Utah liquor stores I have been in which is more than just a few this store is by far the cleanest and most organized. It has an extremely good selection and is also stocked good. It is very eye appealing both inside and out. This is going to be my go to liquor store from now on.

I like new liquor stores close to my house. This one is nicely set up, looks good on the inside and the outside and so far, everybody working there has been nice and friendly.
