Brian's restoration work is simply outstanding. I've moved it throughout the country and tuners are stunned by Brian's workmanship. The restored piano is voiced to perfection, plays flawlessly and holds its tune. Everyone who hears it play says it sounds amazing. Fantastic work from a true craftsperson.
I just had my Yamaha baby grand piano tuned, it had not been done in 20+ years. Brian arrived exactly on time, and in 1-1/2 hours had it sounding like new and looking like new: tuned, polished and all vacuumed out (it was embarrassingly dusty inside). I would highly recommend him, and plan to start getting it tuned on a regular schedule using Brian. I read his reviews before hiring him, and agree with all of the great comments people wrote.
Brian rebuilt a 100 year old Steinway for us with superb results. The piano sounds excellent (our discriminating piano teacher was favorably impressed) and looks beautiful, too. The veneer is flame mahogany, which Brian brought back to life. He was also able to apply a finish to the legs to make them match the case. In short, he has the technical skills of both a piano maker and a woodworker.nnBrian also tunes our piano with care.
Brian has maintained our piano beautifully at First Parish of Watertown. All our rental groups and musicians at church have been very pleased. He is always reliable and available to us. Very happy with his service!
As a professional pianist/musician with a Steinway at home, it matters to me A LOT that the person working on it is top-notch. Brian at East Coast Piano Rebuilding is certainly that, plus he's friendly, reliable and honest. From rebuilding work to tunings, I recommend him without reservation.
