They diagnosed me with sleep apnea and that was about all they've done to help me. I've been on CPAP for five years now, and I still wake up painfully tired every single day, accompanied by daily headaches and sore eyes that never go away. I tell them this at every visit, and they just keep saying I have to continue using the machine. The last time I went, I spoke with Dr. Lynch, who seemed inconvenienced to have to see me. She treated me like someone who just wanted pills when all I wanted was for her to listen and to try to help me. I have good insurance and I am the kind of patient who follows through with every recommendation they make. Now I am on my own because the Sleep Institute of New England, for whatever reason, has chosen to abandon me. This place is great if you have a basic issue, but if your sleep apnea is not responding to CPAP, they blame you, without making any suggestions as to what you can do differently.

Wonderful experience for my husband. Staff explained everything to a tee. If I ever need a sleep study, I will not hesitate to use their services.

I was prescribed a CPAP machine in September of 2019 because of severe fatigue caused by obstructive sleep apnea. I was not given any instruction on how to use the numerous settings. Using it, to say the least, was a struggle. The best I could do was go for 2 hours before waking up severely parched.The experience became counterproductive. It caused anxiety. Not only did it not solve my fatigue, it exacerbated it. I stopped using the machine.nnIn January I was sent to the Sleep Institute of New England for a comprehensive sleep study. The next week I had a follow up appointment with physician’s assistant Erin McCartney from the Institute. Erin is intelligent, knowledgeable, personable and very competent. She spent the necessary time with me to place me at ease and to provide a solution to the CPAP issues I was experiencing. She recommended a different mask showing me documented proof, from the sleep study, that it would work. Erin reset several of the settings on the machine.nnBecause of her I am now using the CPAP machine 7 to 8 hours a night with comfort. As a result, my enthusiasm for life has returned.nnThanks Erin!

Very rude and dismissive! Not helpful or caring at all. I called to try an get my mother established with a new sleep doctor, and they said I'd be better off trying Exeter Hospital's sleep clinic. Thanks for not wasting my time, I guess.
