Great for kids because of so much to touch, do & experience. Kids loved school house and begged to play school. The blacksmith and mercantile were super entertaining and of course we all had to go to jail & take Most Wanted Mug Shots. The owners are fantastic and very attentive. We weren't able to use the pool because of water depth - our children only 5 & 4 & water too deep. But nice touch for families with bigger kids. Loved seeing burros and buffalo and scenery in every direction was spectacular. Fabulous star gazing because no exterior lights of any kind. Recommend you bring your own camp chairs to be comfortable sitting outside. Also, definitely bring your own drinking water. Would definitely take other children there for an adventure back into the past.

We enjoyed our 2 nights in this beautfiul part of Nebraska. It was comfortable and we had everything we needed. You do need to know that there is no food service so come prepared. We brought food to prepare for dinners in the community kitchen. You may want to bring drinking water - it is well water that has an odor. The filters on the faucets make it quite acceptable. Heather provided a continental breakfast each day. There is a lot of history here and we loved the chance to experience it. We hope to stay here again!

A nice stop for lunch. Different offerings each day, depending on what they have on hand. Not extensive or expensive. Don't expect vegan or gluten free here, as my sister in law found out. They have cabins to rent. Not totally off the grid. I'm told they serve great steak dinners, but should call ahead to find out what night they are available. Pull off the road on the way to Meng and take in the canyons views

So glad we stopped here on our road trip. Very cute place! They had water and electric hook up for our RV. Views were amazing!! The kids loved the old town, especially the school house. Tons of history here, and even their own bison. The owners were great and very personable. The whole place was very clean and well kept. Kids loved the pool! It’s 4’ deep so bring life jackets for any littles. Highly recommend!
