A wonderful hotel that seems like it's been frozen in time, specifically 1955. Very congenial, extremely comfy beds, great atmosphere, wonderful host. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.
So much fun! Like stepping into another century. Management was helpful and polite. When I checked in, I missed Sunday brunch. Yet they made up a plate of yummy leftovers! Thanks for a great stay. It’s just across the street from the county historical society, an awesome free Souix County Museum. Thanks!
We got stuck in the snowstorm, couldn’t go forward, couldn’t go back. And we found this little Harrison House and Syd is absolutely great! Clean, nice people, and so friendly. Absolutely loved sitting around and talking and playing cards around the kitchen table, making new friends and getting the small town feel. Loved it and hope we get the chance to come back again!

Clean, quiet. Best place to stay in this small town on the edge of nowhere. No a/c when we were there, but it cools down at night so it wasn't bad. Great breakfast. You'll learn all the local news as this is a coffee hangout first thing in the morning. The whole town is a time capsule. Staying here is about as close as you can come to staying at an authentic old west hotel.
