Growney Daniel J MD

I have had two tests taken in, York, Nebraska, by Dr. Daniel J Growney. Both came back positive for Metastatic melanoma. Had I known that the first test came back vaguely positive for Melanoma, I would never have taken the second test! Dr. Growney had told me that a second test would be more invasive and could cause, any potential cancer, to spread. I did ask Dr. Daniel J Growney if he had the results back for the first test yet, when I arrived for my second test, but he did not say yes, nor did he tell me that the first test had came back positive for Melanoma. He only indicated that they need another sample, and by omission indicated that no results came from the first sample. I just learned today, that the first test had provided results. I had indicated clearly to Dr. Growney that I did not want to have a second test, if we got results from the first test. The second test, he preformed upwards of five invasive sample biopsies. I stopped him at that point, and he still wanted me to have a spot on my ear scraped off, for even further testing. It is too late for me to avoid the nearly five times increase in size of my tumor, just since that second test in September 2019, or the constant pain which was nonexistent before the second test. In addition to not being forthcoming, Dr. Growney was unconcerned about my comfort during both procedures and spent more time talking, as though I wasn't present, to the aides/interns in the room. He made my experience not only physically uncomfortable, but also degrading as a patient. I hope this information will prevent others from going through a similar experience. In conclusion, I feel Dr. Growney withheld the first test results from me, causing me to make a wrong decision.
